Service Description

Prerequisite: any intro course. This new revamped on-camera technique class is the place for intermediate actors to train their acting muscles! Every session will rotate instructors and have a different focus, from monologues to scene work, drama to comedy, and improvisation to partner work. Students receive copies of all class footage, and will perform their scene in front of Triality Studio's LED wall for the final class! About the instructor: A seasoned writer, teacher, and actor, Chris Hill embraces Mark Twain's insight that "Truth is stranger than fiction." With a diverse and illustrious career, Chris has delved into the depths of the Meisner technique under the guidance of a former student of Sanford Meisner himself. His theatrical journey spans eight of Shakespeare's plays, showcasing his versatility on stage. Chris's presence extends beyond the theater to the small screen, featuring in over 30 national commercials, including memorable campaigns for Kingsford charcoal and cherry Pepto Bismol. His on-screen adventures include a noteworthy collaboration with Wendy's, sharing the spotlight with the iconic Wendy herself. The richness of Chris's professional tapestry includes sharing the stage with talents like Pat Hingle in "Inherit the Wind" and working alongside industry heavyweights such as Samuel L. Jackson, Christian Bale, director Michel Gondry, and Christopher Nolan in "The Dark Knight Rises." From a childhood aspiration to be a cartoon, Chris's journey comes full circle as he voices characters like the giant porcupine "Fruithog" in "The Legend of Korra" and the pizza-loving purple monster "Mr. Munch." His creative pursuits extend to writing for Chuck E Cheese's entertainment department and contributing to dyslexia awareness through his children's book and YouTube kids show, "Ralphy and the Rang-E-Koos." In his many years of teaching acting, Chris Hill instills the belief that possibilities are limitless and truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Join him in unlocking your potential, discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, and exploring the strange truths of life.
