Back to One Creative Artist Group is thrilled to offer an exclusive workshop taught by the acclaimed director, Robert Caprio. Topics Include: · Understanding the Actor's Process in Film Acting. ·The Production Elements in making a Short Film; and, the director's role in the process. ·Effective ways in communicating with actors as to script interpretation, bringing character to emotional life, understanding and executing Film Continuity and reaching for the desired results. Whether you're a budding filmmaker or an experienced director looking to refine your skills, this workshop is designed to elevate your craft and deepen your understanding of the director-actor dynamic. About the instructor: Robert Caprio is an accomplished director with a graduate degree from Syracuse University and extensive professional experience in New York City. His impressive directing credits span Broadway, Off-Broadway, and professional summer theater. Highlights include assistant directing "The Survivor" on Broadway and working on productions such as "The Front Page," "A Touch of the Poet," "The Seagull," "Troilus & Cressida," and "Black Comedy" Off-Broadway. In professional summer theater, Robert has directed classics like "The Taming of the Shrew," "Blithe Spirit," and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," among others. At the ECU/Loessin Playhouse, he directed a wide range of productions including "Gypsy," "A Chorus Line," "Urinetown," and "The Drowsy Chaperone." As a retired Associate Professor at East Carolina University’s School of Theatre & Dance, Robert coordinated the Acting program, founded the Film Program for Professional Actors, and served as Main Stage Resident Director. He also produced, directed, and edited short films in collaboration with ECU's Professional Acting Program.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the uncertain nature of sickness & travel, we cannot offer refunds or prorated class rates. However, we are happy to offer class credits for entire missed sessions or workshops. Prorated class credits may be given on a case-to-case basis if the student has missed at least half of the classes in a session.
